Publication Day is Monday 2 April, although I’m not sure what it actually means, because nothing actually happens on the day.
Some bookshops already have Elizabeth Macarthur on their shelves, others will no doubt get it in over the next few weeks. The launch party, a private function for friends and family, will be held a week or so later. My lovely publicist has lined up lots of talks and radio interviews for me but none are scheduled for Monday.
Well, one was, with Wendy Harmer on the ABC Sydney morning show, but it has now been postponed. Wendy has the Monday off (it being Easter and all) and so the interviewed will be re-arranged for a day when she’s actually on air.
On Tuesday morning I’m scheduled to speak with ABC 774 Melbourne at 6:45am, then 2SER in Sydney at 7:45am (they’re both phone interviews). The following Monday (April 9) I’m speaking with ABC Broken Hill at 4:45pm and with the ABC WA Drive show at 7:45pm AEST (so 5:45pm in WA). But my understanding is that these times and dates can be pretty fluid. Once the interviews are available online, I’ll post the links.
In the meantime, Bill over at The Australian Legend has posted an interview with me (thanks Bill!) and Readings bookshops have included Elizabeth Macarthur in their April catalogue.
And last, but not least, here we are on my new site! All feedback gratefully received.
All the best. I’m sure that sales arrow will take off through the top of the graph.
Thanks Bill, fingers crossed.
Well fingers crossed this is a huge success for you …. not anticipating a tractor no no no I’m not at all….
Just buy 9,000 copies, lovely Winter, and the tractor is yours.
Wow, only one sleep to go. Congratulations and well done on your discipline and focus. Not to mention skill as a powerful storyteller.
Thanks Serina – am spending tomorrow with my son, who is riding in a horse competition. Am so anxious about that, I’ll have no time for thinking about the book!
Congratulations Michelle, today is the day! I can see that my local bookshop, Candelo Books, has 2 copies in stock according to their “Click and Collect” feature on their website, so even though they are shut today, I can still reserve my copy! Looking forward to the read.
Thanks Regina. Little, regional bookshops are amongst my favourites. And thanks for all your hard work in building this awesome new website – it’s beautiful.
