I’ve started hearing from publishers…

…and the response – so far – is pretty positive!

Two weeks ago my agent sent out a proposal, and a sample of my manuscript, to a carefully curated selection of publishers.  She gave them six weeks to reply but already we’ve heard encouraging things from nearly all of them.

One rang to speak with me last week, another plans to ring me this week.

This, at left, is how I’m feeling right now.  Shaggy, but with pretensions.

Stay tuned!

You’ve clearly been waiting for an excuse to run the dog pic.

Thanks Lisa – the dog’s name was Rosie (2009-2016). Rosie is the name you get when you let the children choose… And yes, it’s an exciting time. Quite fun, actually, in a terrifying kind of way.

Oh, oh dear, I see she has just gone to the Great Kennel in the Sky. What a sad time, it is so hard when they are much loved members of the family…

Thanks Eleanor – I’ve been thinking of you during this process, actually. Given that you’re an old hand!

Thanks Gail. It’s all more than I had dared hope for and I’m learning quite a lot as I go!
